Destructive Self Portrait

Experiments on self depiction. The widespread distribution of personal cameras on smartphones made algorithmic self depiction an everyday occurrence. Our self images are captured, modified, distorted, and distributed with intent, without explicit awareness of how we divorce from orthographic projection towards algorithmic self awareness. Self awareness being a key signature for higher intelligence, this experiment questions whether pushing algorithmic self depiction moves towards the truth on how we see ourselves or accelerate a counterfeit reality.
